Christina Bristow, soprano
B i o g r a p h y
Christina Bristow, soprano, is a graduate of The University of Southern California earning her Graduate Certificate and Masters of Music in Voice performance at the USC Thornton School of Music. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Music from California Baptist University, magna cum laude. She is an award winner for the Metropolitan Opera Council auditions Western Finals, NATS-LA Young Artist of the Year 2014, NATS-AA competition semi-finalist, and scholarship recipient from the Colburn Foundation in Early Music Performance at USC. Studying with renowned mezzo soprano, Cynthia Munzer, her most recent performances include soprano soloist in Handel's Alexander's Feast, Sister Constance in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, Angel in Schütz’s Wiehnachts-Historie, Second Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at USC, Adina in Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore, Rosina in the Barber of Seville with OC Opera, “daughter” in Performance Riverside’s production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, and Milly in Seven Brides For Seven Brothers where she received the Inland Empire Theatre League Award for Best Actress. She is very active in singing for the LA area, including singing for the Los Angeles Master Chorale, LA Opera Chorus, USC Baroque Sinfonia, Glendale City SDA Church and First Baptist Church of Glendale. She can also be heard on the music soundtracks of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Jumanji: Enter the Jungle, Transformers: The Last Knight, Pixels, and Alita: Battle Angel.
